Remixed is a column that will highlight remixes we actually think are worthy of praise, be they old or new. Because most remixes are rubbish. // Words: Saam Das

London electro-pop duo BLUEBELL release their debut single 'Normal Heights'/'Cinderella' today, through our buddies Killing Moon Records. In addition, there are a smattering of remixes of the former track available, including by the likes of Worship and Draper. Our favourite is by Golden Fable, a band we've discussed in their own right. Download their remix of 'Normal Heights' below for free.

We talked about the massive sounding 'Normal Heights' last month, decreeing its standing as "one of the highlights of the pop calendar in 2012". We've given Golden Fable similar praise in the past, noting the magical nature of their experimental folk-pop. They're at it again here, those clever so-and-sos.

Combining the two acts together is a masterstroke, a beguiling mixture that retains the overt pop sentiment of the original track while replacing its bombastic electro backing with a more soothing sound. Listen to the single version of 'Normal Heights' below, along with the download of the Golden Fable remix.
