If you're wondering where Hull band The Neat disappeared off to then you're in luck. Sort of. The Neat are no more but in their place comes LIFE - their new guise. Their excellent debut single 'See The Light' comes out in May, and you can listen to that along with a demo of 'In Citrus'.
'In Citrus' has a slight reminiscence of their previous efforts, a riotous guitar-led number, with Mez Green's yelping vocals giving the track something of a punk edge. Perhaps surprisingly so considering the band recorded the track with Kaiser Chiefs' Simon Rix and Mick Ross of Frankie & The Heartstrings.
Their contrasting debut single 'See The Light' is a heartfelt offering, with enjoyably anthemic undertones. The track arguably excels best in its quieter phases, an unexpected but welcome revelation. Choose LIFE?
