I'm pretty sure I saw Ima Robot supporting The Von Bondies once. That was a while ago. So long ago, in fact, that their former frontman Alex Ebert is now up to album number three with his latest outfit Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros. To celebrate its upcoming release in the UK, the band have been drip-feeding the self-titled album's tracks via various blogs/sites. Now it's our turn, with the "official UK premiere" of 'Life Is Hard'.

'Life Is Hard' might not be lyrically profound but sometimes it's better to say things simply. Life is indeed hard. And the sentiment is certainly carried by the weight of instrumentation and the soulful vocals, giving it an almost gospel feel that makes it one of our favourite tracks from the record. Have a slightly different version from their recent 'Late Night With Letterman' appearance too.

'Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros' is out in the UK on August 26th. Find more info at edwardsharpeandthemagneticzeros.com.
