I didn't quite "get" Canadian twosome Kids In Despair aka K.I.D until their melodramatic recent track 'Stoned On The School Bus'. New song 'Bong Song' is an obviously titled companion piece, but with a significant burst of pace and added energy - watch the suitably rough-around-the-edges video below, which also segues into the aforemention 'Stoned On The School Bus'.
I'm becoming increasingly charmed by the almost amateurish nature of K.I.D lyrics - which may sound unkind, but also lends a certain approachability to the duo. I might even find myself screaming "pass my boooooooooooong" at some point. Regardless, Kara Lane's vocals are definitely the real deal, and the infectious music backs this up. The whole package is grin inducing, to say the least.
