I'm genuinely quite surprised to discover that the last time we wrote about brothers-not-so-grim HATS was at the back end of 2014, with their excellent mellow Wretch 32 cover. Thankfully, John and Garry are still going strong, even launching a regular monthly track release pattern. Listen to new track 'Hurt You' below.
'Hurt You' kicks off in a wonderfully settling Mt Wolf-esque fashion, a calming undercurrent that runs (or rather jovially ambles) throughout the track despite the jittery synth-lines. The monthly track release formula has proven successful for the likes of RAC and Oh Wonder so hopefully HATS will find a similarly wide audience over 2016.
