Back in 2006, I took a punt on a new festival called The Great Escape. Although not a great enough punt to pay for more than one night at a Travelodge in Brighton. Since then, The Great Escape has grown into the UK's finest festival for new music, and arguably one of the world's finest festivals. This year, they've grown even further, partnering with Raindance Film Festival for a new film strand.

Festival Review: Live At Leeds 2016

It's been a long, long time since I was last in Leeds. But the pull of this year's stellar Live At Leeds lineup was enough to convince me that a last minute trip from London was a necessity. A trip from London that included tube, coach, and train travel, and a stay in a £30 B&B in Huddersfield. Totally worth it.

Cirencester (that's in the English county of Gloucestershire, for all you geography fans) brother-sister duo Katy Pearson and Rob Pearson have unveiled their debut material as ARDYN. Moving away from their more acoustic roots as Kitten And Bear, lead EP track 'Universe' adopts more of atmospheric psych-folk approach, reminiscent of Stealing Sheep and Daughter.
