Surfacing: RHODES [New Artist]

We've been eyeing up Hitchin singer-songwriter RHODES for quite some time - I managed to catch him playing live at The Great Escape back in May but the chattersome crowd rather overpowered his acoustic efforts. Now though, he is gearing up for a debut EP release, bringing his haunting folk to a wider audience.

Intriguingly, Rhodes recorded the 'Raise Your Love' EP with James Kenosha, better known for working with noisier outfits including Pulled Apart By Horses, and Charlie Fink, better known as the frontman of Noah And The Whale. Fans of Matt Corby will particularly enjoy having a listen to the rousing 'Run' and the quietly affecting 'Always' below.
