The UK General Election has resulted in a majority Conservative government, much to the surprise of many. Indeed, much to the anguish of many. Which makes it appropriate to feature Ella Chi, who is stepping out on her own with the suitably titled folky debut solo track - 'Hard To Be Happy'.
CHI had previously appeared on more dance-oriented tracks such as 'Owe It To Yourself' by Grades and Harry Wolfman's 'On Tap', but 'Hard To Be Happy' is a welcome change of tack. Understated at first, but ever-soaring, 'Hard To Be Happy' carries a hopeful tone that perhaps is lacking across much of the UK right now.
