Remixed: Bleachers - I Wanna Get Better (RAC Mix)

The very last song I caught at this year's Glastonbury Festival was 'I Wanna Get Better' by Bleachers. It's probably my favourite song of 2014. And it's an anthem that I've particularly come back to quite a lot in the last few days, after I was run over on the way home. (I'm okay, relatively speaking.) With his usual aplomb, RAC has put together an ace remix of the track. Listen to both versions below.

You might recognise Bleachers main man/only member Jack Antonoff from his work as guitarist in fun. or even from former Drive Thru Records outfit Steel Train. Lyrically, 'I Wanna Get Better' captures some darkness from his earlier days but musically, it's a glorious mish-mash of Passion Pit, Paul Simon, and maybe evena bit of Queen.

Not content with delivering some of the best tracks of the last year as part of his 'Strangers' album, RAC gives 'I Wanna Get Better' a wonderfully laid-back vibe - wisely retaining the industrial strength chorus and singalong refrain but also showcasing a killer guitar solo. Watch the Lena Dunham-directed video for the original version, and listen to the RAC mix, below.
