SYNOPSIS: "Four people barricaded in a shopping mall struggle to repel rampaging zombies in this gruesome sequel to the horror classic 'Night Of The Living Dead'." (bbc.co.uk)

Before Zack Snyder decided to make a ridiculously titled film about CGI battle owls, he made his directorial debut remaking George Romero's classic 'Dawn Of The Dead' in 2004. Now I didn't see the remake (and I'm not inherently against the decision to remake the film) but it's hard to see how it could top the original.

As someone who isn't much of a fan of (gory) horror, I found the film engrossing and often humorous. Perhaps the best of the now steadily declining series of Romero zombie films. Or so I've heard, I have absolutely no intention of watching any of the most recent ones. I suggest you take similar action and if you want an introduction to some of his finest work, look no further than 'Dawn Of The Dead'.
