I remember some murmurings upon the recent reformation of Death From Above 1979 that Jesse Keeler's other outfit MSTRKRFT would subsequently suffer. The free download of pounding new track, 'Beards Again' suggests that any negative thoughts should be thrust aside. For the time being, at least.
The track might not be that clever but it is BIG - skilfully combining dance beats and massive guitar riffs. I might get hate mail for this but it kind of reminds me of some of Pendulum's stuff, where they tried a similar thing - 'Propane Nightmares', for example.
'Beards Again', however, eschews the pop side of things that Pendulum embraced - turn this upto 11 and prepare yourself for the best 251 seconds of your day so far. Unless my maths is wrong.
