Fresh outta Brisbane, production duo Gav Parry and Jono Kirkham are YesYou. They've built up a reputation in their native Australia, thanks to their work with the likes of DZ Deathrays and Jinja Safari. Now they've teamed up with the latter band's Marcus Azon on their dreamy new single 'Frivolous Life', out this week in the UK.
As 'Frivolous Life' begins, elements of Bon Iver appear (no bad thing) before the track morphs into some sort of genuinely brilliant "smooth grooves" dance number. The band made some waves last year with 'Half Of It', a laid-back synth-pop number that you can revisit below - along with the spritely 'Be There'. With a new EP on its way very soon, we expect to be hearing more good stuff from YesYou shortly.
