When Dave Sitek's not busy being in the consistently brilliant TV On The Radio, he's also producing exciting acts like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals, and Beady Eye. (Ahem.) Now he's gone a step further, launching his own label featuring the likes of Kelis, CSS, and this top new single from Danish electro-pop sensation Oh Land.
I enjoyed Oh Land's bombast when I caught her live at The Great Escape 2011 but her recent comeback song 'My Boxer' failed to entice me in the way I hoped. 'Renaissance Girls' however harks back to the old, mesmerising Oh Land but with an edgier twist that thankfully sounds much less forced than 'My Boxer'.
