I recently compiled my top films of 2017, and I'm fairly confident that Greta Gerwig's 'Lady Bird' will feature near the top of a similar list of 2018 films. The film has deservedly picked up a clutch of Oscar nominations and has plenty of brilliant moments - a favourite of mine being the brief Thanksgiving scene featuring an in-film band, whose song you can listen to in full below.

While in the film, the early noughties band is named L'Enfance Nue' (presumably after Maurice Pialat's 1968 film of the same name), the music actually comes from one Adam Brock. The Washington musician also appears as the band's frontman, with Timothee Chalamet's effortlessly cool Kyle on bass - quite understandably catching the gaze of Lady Bird, played delightfully by Saoirse Ronan.

Surprisingly the track that L'Enfance Nue play in this scene does not appear on the soundtrack to 'Lady Bird' - in similar fashion to the incred 'Fell On Your Head' by Francis And The Lights that soundtracked 2013's 'Robot & Frank', which still hasn't been released. Hopefully Adam Brock's breezy, period-fitting 'Fred Astaire' won't face a similar fate but at the very least, the version below is longer than the short clip we hear in the film itself.
