Surfacing: Evryone

I heard about Evryone during the winter and was quite taken back by their jazz-influenced romantic pop. I then proceeded to forget to write about them when their debut single came out at the end of January so it's time to play catch up.

That debut single was a double A-side with the off-kilter 'Flamingos' overshadowed by the majestic Passion Pit-esque 'Thrill Seeking'. Comparisons have been made to TV On The Radio (who are giving away another new mp3, by the way) which has some substance, although perhaps more so on earlier material, like 'Do You Understand'.

Certainly, to these ears, the Home Counties trio are peerless within the UK. Let's hope that Evryone continue to produce such intriguing leftfield pop. Download the aforementioned 'Do You Understand' below and listen to a selection of tracks at the Evryone Soundcloud. Including 'Millions', which soundtracked a Ted Baker video/ad and is on iTunes so I presume is the (brilliant) new single.

I've also embedded the Adam Crisp/Entrepeneurs/former Elle Milano bloke-directed video for 'Flamingos' below. You may well be hearing more about Mr Crisp in the near future both from me and the wider world.
