Surfacing: Daisy Victoria [New Artist]

Forging a new start following her time as vocalist for The Maglia Rose Group, East Anglian Daisy Victoria put out her PJ Harvey-influenced debut EP earlier in the year - picking up radio play from the likes of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens and 6Music's Lauren Laverne. Not a bad effort. It's with new EP title track 'Nobody Dies' though, that truly marks her as one to watch.

'Nobody Dies' opts for a different approach to the punkier 'Heart Full Of Beef' EP - instead opting for more of a cascading dream-pop style, albeit with some of the lo-fi characteristics of past tracks. Daisy Victoria's wonderfully melodic vocals manages to suit both approaches, but the sense of optimism (musically, at least) that pervades through the new track is particularly refreshing.

The 'Nobody Dies' EP is due out in November. Find more info at facebook.com/daisyvic.
