We ventured to the upper Midlands this past weekend for the excellent Dot To Dot Festival, which followed its Manchester and Bristol events with a successful conclusion in Nottingham. And one of the (many) bands behind that success was Birmingham's Swim Deep. With a new album now in sight, following 2015's 'Mothers', you can watch the striking black and white video for the 'Parklife'-meets-'Songs Of Praise' new track 'To Feel Good' below.

Having only played sporadic gigs over the last couple of years, it was little surprise that Swim Deep received what could be termed as a "hero's welcome" at Nottingham's Rock City for Dot To Dot - even with a set packed full of new material. Which to be fair, was sounding pretty top drawer, including the rousing 'To Feel Good'.

It's been a number of years since we last covered Swim Deep here, and 'To Feel Good' feels like a suitably worthy comeback. Mashing in everything from 'Parklife'-esque vocal delivery to melodies that wouldn't sound out of place on Lou Reed's 'Walk On The Wildside', with a sprinkling of choral magic - it feels good.
