You'll know Brian Higgins and his Xenomania production team from their stellar work with Girls Aloud, as well as dalliances with the likes of Sugababes, Annie, and Alesha Dixon, among many others. Safe to say, they know good pop. Therefore it comes with some excitement that their latest affiliated band, Capulets has come to the fore, featuring Xenomania artist Florrie. Listen to their appropriately named 'Act One' EP below.

Florrie Arnold has had an extensive relationship with the Xenomania crew, moving from drummer on Girls Aloud tracks to songwriting stalwart, and also releasing solo material through their label side. Joining Sarah Thompson and Toby Scott for Capulets, this isn't the first time that the trio have come together - having all shared writing credits at least once before, on 2017's 'See Through All The Colours' EP by Blessed.

Capulets have hit the ground running with their fantastic debut EP, 'Act One', which channels the likes of La Roux and Alex Winston across its three tracks. Opening track 'Annie' is pure melodramatic pop, followed by the pounding dancefloor-filler of 'XO', and arguably saving the best for last, the mutating synth-pop of closer 'Community Centre'. Bring on Act Two.
