Are You Listening? Festival @ various venues across Reading, 29 April '18 // Words: Saam Das

Are You Listening? Festival took over Reading for the sixth time in 2018, growing in reputation and attendance for its biggest and arguably best outing to date. One of the chief beneficiaries of the success of the event is the festival’s official charity partner, Reading Mencap. Here’s how the day went for us and some of the bands that graced Reading with their presence:

Music festivals and Reading - name a more iconic duo. Okay, you probably can name several but that shouldn't take away from the popularity of Reading music festivals of which Are You Listening? is now firmly established. It's fair to say that Reading's Are You Listening? Festival is somewhat overshadowed by its geographically similar August-held music festival. But perhaps it shouldn't be. At just £15 for dozens of top notch bands across various venues, and none of the logistic issues of camping and what not, Are You Listening is certainly worth investigating.

Are You Listening? Festival @ various venues across Reading (18 April '15) // Words: Saam Das

Reading's Are You Listening? Festival entered its third edition in 2015, one of an increasing string of urban-based multi-venue festivals. With dozens of acts playing across more than ten venues, there was plenty on offer - and better still, everything seemed terribly well organised. A worthy counterpart to the established Reading Festival.
