From Iain Woods' psychologist album released on 1st January 2015 to Archy Marshall's King Krule follow-up released as December drew to a close, 2015 was certainly an interesting year for album releases. With honourable mentions to Young Fathers, Errors, and Lanterns On The Lake, read below for ten of my favourite albums from the past year:

Irish synth-pop duo Young Wonder recently released their debut album 'Birth' but they're not resting on any laurels, putting together an atmospheric cover of popular girl band All Saints' seminal 'Pure Shores'. And throwing in a bit of College and Electric Youth's 'A Real Hero' to boot.

It's been too long since we last posted about Irish duo Young Wonder, having highlighted their brilliant rework of Black Light Dinner Party's 'We Are Golden' back in 2013. Young Wonder's latest track 'Enchanted' lives up to their name - an electro-pop tune imbued with a sense of wide-eyed optimism.

One of my favourite things about music is the spirit of collaboration. It's one of the reasons that I loved 'Under African Skies', last year's documentary about Paul Simon and his cameo-filled 'Graceland' album. This year, NYC's Black Light Dinner Party and Ireland's Young Wonder are joining in the spirit of things - reworking each other's tracks. Here's 'We Are Golden', done Young Wonder style.
