The first few seconds of screeching in Sacred Paws' new track 'The Conversation' don't imbue great confidence, and yet the rest of the track is absolutely chuffing brilliant. Musically uplifting but lyrically fractious, it's arguably the Glaswegian indie-pop duo's most delightful work. The new album follows 2017's 'Strike A Match' which won the Scottish Album of the Year Award that year, beating off prominent competition including Mogwai and Honeyblood. 'The Conversation' continues that rich vein of form. Directed by Jack Barraclough, who's worked with The Orielles and Ardyn, the video for 'The Conversation' reflects the track's more carefree and breezier aspects - taking both band and viewer on a suitably pleasant ride.
