We like a bit of Talking Heads. So do Leeds indie-poppers This Many Boyfriends. They've put together a cover of the iconic single 'This Must Be The Place', and made it free for download. What a lovely bunch. Listen and download their cover below.

XFM X-Posure All Dayer live at Camden Barfly, 27 Jan '13 // Words + Photos: Saam Das

XFM DJ John Kennedy is someone I've listened to for almost a decade. I used to tune in to his late night shows on a regular basis and always enjoyed hearing amazing new bands that he'd uncover. John's also been putting on the XFM X-Posure All Dayer for many years. 2013's installment involved the likes of Wolf Alice and Temples.

So many good albums came out in 2012 but here are my top ten from last year, including strong debuts from the likes of TOY and Spector and excellent follow-ups from Richard Hawley and Tame Impala. Read on and watch the video playlist to find out who came out on top.

2012. The year that guitar music died. The year that hip hop died. The year that dubstep died. No. None of these things happened. 2012 was as healthy a year for music as any. At FADED GLAMOUR, we picked some of our favourite albums of 2012 and put them together in a list of 25 below. Pop, R&B, hip hop and yes, even guitar music all seem to have thrived according to our top 25 albums of 2012.

This Many Boyfriends - 'This Many Boyfriends' (UK Release: 8 Oct '12) // Words: Emily Solan

This Many Boyfriends album artwork

Some bands try hard. They worry about the image, their influences, the chart and all that guff. Rather stupidly though, these bands forget all about the music. This Many Boyfriends are no such band. Their self-titled debut is an album packed full of perfect pop songs, and quite possibly the best new release this year.

This Many Boyfriends are probably the best band you'll ever listen to. Their brand of indie pop makes no excuses for itself, the delightful jingle jangle of guitars in their new single 'Starling' errs just on the right side of being twee. Listen to the track below, along with b-side 'Just Saying'.

It's September. Already. Another month goes by and another singles column is complete. As ever, ten of the best singles of the month and no dating advice to be seen anywhere. Or at least not here. Because that would be terrible. Anyway, the photo above hints at the winner of the August single of the month. To listen to that track and more, keep reading.
