We're not quite sure what M.I.A and Micachu & The Shapes (Mica did compose the fantastic soundtrack to 2013's 'Under The Skin') are up to these days, but while they're out of the limelight, Georgia's latest track marries the two. Check out the video to new single 'Move Systems' below.

I've been somewhat torn about whether to write about K.I.D aka Kids In Despair aka Canadian duo Kara Lane and Bobby Kaoom, but seeing as I've come back to new demo 'Stoned On The School Bus' several times over the last few days, I'm going to take that as a positive sign. Taking a turn from the punkier elements of their 2014 debut tracks, 'Stoned On The School Bus' is soaring dream-pop.

I was surprised to hear that West Ham United football club had recruited new company ICU Label to be their official record label - surprised yet further when it turns out that ICU's main act Harper is one of the most exciting pop talents to emerge of late. London-based solo artist Sam Harper dropped her debut EP late last year, teaming up with songwriting/production duo Eagle Eye, who have worked with likes of Conor Maynard and Little Mix.

I just about remember catching Orlando Seale And The Swell in an unusual private club setting at the Sundance Festival back in 2012. Their folksy baroque pop appears to have taken a significant turn on the evidence of new double A-side single 'Filthy Hope' / 'All Of The Dogs' - a considerably darker proposition. Listen to both tracks below.

As someone who generally hates remixes, it's quite curious that I find Bipolar Sunshine's music so adaptable to an enjoyable remix - we featured the We The Wild remix of 'Drowning Butterflies' around this time last year, and now we have Acropolis Sound tweaking new single 'Daydreamer'.

I've been a fan of Matt And Kim's bouncy synthpop for a while now, but it really came together in 2012 with stellar singles like 'Let's Go'. Their subsequent 'Lightning' album was one of my favourites of 2012, and they've started showcasing tracks from their new record - 'Can You Blame Me' being the pick of the bunch for me.

It's been too long since we last posted about Irish duo Young Wonder, having highlighted their brilliant rework of Black Light Dinner Party's 'We Are Golden' back in 2013. Young Wonder's latest track 'Enchanted' lives up to their name - an electro-pop tune imbued with a sense of wide-eyed optimism.

I've very much been enjoying Richard Walters in his other outfits, Liu Bei and PARLA, so to say that his newest track 'Zero Visibility' is arguably his best effort yet is a significant compliment. Part of his subscription-based 'Field Recordings' album, Walters has continued his recent run of collaborations by successfully teaming with co-writer and mixer Aidan O'Brien.

Pyra is the latest in a growing new wave of exciting young female artists, such as Shura and Lapsley. Latin for funeral pyre, today's emergence of Pyra appears to have unfortunately consigned London duo Paper Crows to a metaphorical death, as singer Emma Panas steps out on her own. At least she's opened up her account in impressive fashion, with synth-laden debut track 'Saviour'.

Taking their name from an element of 1982 sci-fi classic 'Blade Runner', London twosome Empathy Test similarly hark back to the eighties with their synth-laden style of music - an immersive, enveloping electronic sound. Check out 'Hope For Me', a particular highlight of their recent EP 'Throwing Stones'.
