US sitcom 'Broad City' has had some buzz so when 4music offered us the chance to view the opening episodes of the first series, we were there. 'Broad City' stars Abbi Jackson and Ilana Glazer, as two women trying to survive in New York as every day brings a new crazy situation for the girls to try and get themselves out of.

I have been going on about 'Empire' for a while now, which has been the talk of the town in the USA with a growing audience each episode. I did not believe this would be picked up by a UK channel until the end of the year but I was proven wrong by E4. 'Empire' reunites 'Hustle & Flow' stars Terence Howard and Taraji P Henson along with a range of R&B and hip hop stars to keep you glued to the screen.

I feel a bit behind talking about 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt', it premiered last month on Netflix however whenever I think about it the show I have the theme tune stuck in my head. I would even say it is arguable one of the best television theme tunes of 2015 so far. Starring Ellie Kemper as Kimmy Schmidt - a naïve woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and decides to adjust to a life in New York City.

20) 'Gogglebox'

'Gogglebox' has gone from strength to strength this year, we have enjoyed watching people watch television which sounds so sad but just works. 'Googlebox' is the perfect Friday night in show which such families as Sandy and Sandra, Steph and Dom and The Moffat family entertained. Whether its their opinion on the 'X-Factor' or finding out who has had a bit of greek in them, 'Googlebox' has had a great 2014.

When the last series of 'Bad Education' came out I had it on my list to review, however other shows took over at the time. This time round I was not going to miss the chance to review this hit BBC Three comedy. There have been changes to this series with people leaving and joining but the bad teaching has not changed one bit. Whether series three will have the same magic that the previous series is another story.

When the announcement was made that Andy Samberg was not coming back to play Cuckoo in this second series, I had very low hopes. This dark cloud that gathered over me got worse once I heard Taylor Lautner was to replace Samberg. All I could see was this annoying man from 'Twilight' trying to do comedy and not even the trailer convinced me.

What happens when you bring 'The Hunger Games' and 'Lost' together? You create 'The 100'. This post-apocalyptic American drama sees one hundred juvenile prisoners sent back down to Earth to see if they can repopulate and mainly survive. As their ‘Ark’ in space is dying, these prisoners are lab rats - their progress monitored 24/7. As soon as these juvenile prisoners land on Earth, the tension builds with everyone wanting to be the leader.

Having been too tired to watch 'Dinner At 11' first time around, I saw a pop up on 4oD and decided to take the brave step in listening to 11 year olds discuss topics like love, politics, and life in general. 'Dinner At 11' puts together a bunch of 11 year olds as they leave primary school, and finds out their opinions in a dinner style setting. As they sip on their apple juice and eat some fancy food.

In a previous Telly Text, I discussed Chris Lilley and his show 'Ja’mie Private School Girl'. Now don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy Ja’mie and all her antics - however, bringing back past characters felt very recycled, revisiting old jokes and making them tiresome. I also mentioned that Jonah would be next and as promised, here's my review. 'Jonah From Tonga' brings back Jonah from 'Summer Heights High' as he is sent back to Tonga after being excluded. We experience Jonah becoming (slightly) more of a man through a series of life lessons.

Everyone seems to be after love these days with the increase of dating shows from 'Take Me Out' to 'First Dates' - airing our dirty laundry on television to get a date seems to be the way forward. MTV’s newest show 'Are You The One?' gives ten girls and ten boys the chance to find their “perfect match”. If they all find their perfect match, they win one million dollars to share.

Social media has exploded over Channel 4’s latest bonkers and outrageous television series. 'Benefits Street' is a five part series on the lives of people living James Turner Street in Birmingham where many of the people living on this street are unemployed and on benefits. We get to see the day to day life on this street which seems to involve the residents drinking, smoking and shoplifting if going what has been shown so far.
